Check out this live look under the Scripps Pier at La Jolla Shores in San Diego!
The Scripps Pier Cam streams HD video from 4 m / 13 ft underwater at Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier. The project is part of Scripps Institution of Oceanography’s Coastal Ocean Observing Lab, which collects important data about our local waters. The live feed gives both researchers and the public a unique view from 4 m / 13 ft underwater, showcasing local marine life and providing a look at ocean conditions.
The camera used for the project is a DeepSea HD Multi SeaCam, a 6,000 m depth-rated camera that provides low-latency HD video streaming. DeepSea is proud to have donated the camera in support of Scripps’ ongoing efforts to study our region’s coastal environment.
